Weather Resource

The Weather resource allows you to display up-to-date weather forecasts within your ShakeDS channels.

How to Add a Weather Resource​

  1. Log into the ShakeDS Dashboard.
  2. From the top menu, select Resources.
  3. Select Weather.
  4. Click Add.

Resource Configuration​

When creating a new Weather resource, you can set the following fields:

  • Location → enter the desired city in the location field. The system will automatically detect it on the map and retrieve the related weather data.
  • Resource Name → the title used as a reference in the graphic template.
  • Language → select the language for displaying information.
  • Time Zone → set the correct time zone to align the displayed times.

Graphic Customization​

The Weather resource can be configured via the common player settings:

  • Display duration → how long the forecast stays on screen.
  • Text and background colors → customize colors to match your channel.

Display Modes​

Weather forecasts can be displayed in different layout areas:

  • Side Zone → column view, divided by days.
  • Main Zone → extended view centered on the screen.
  • Footer Zone → compact view at the bottom.

The system automatically adapts the layout and amount of information displayed depending on the zone and available space.
